Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will deliver the Keynote Q&A at the 2014 Billboard + Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Music Conference on Nov. 5 in Los Angeles.
Previously posted, but this has a fuller text. Tickets will go on sale soon for the full conference at $595.
Well, this is going to sound weird. I showed the movie to Trent and Atticus and we walked out of the screening room and they said, “So what do you have in mind?” And I said, “The movie’s about facades. The movie is about the appearance of the good neighbour, the good husband, the good wife. So I want you to do your version of spa music. The kind of music that one hears when one goes to get a massage. I want it to be that music that reassures us that everything’s going to be OK.”
But, of course I want it to be the Trent and Atticus version of that, which I don’t think will ever make anyone feel OK …
A new promotional website has been added for Gone Girl, with background music.
The track, Miracle On Miss, appears to be a slightly different version of Appearances from the Gone Girl soundtrack.
The soundtrack has been nominated for Best Original Score for a feature at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. The winners will be announced on November 4th at the award ceremony in the Fonda Theatre.
Mike Garson just tweeted that he helped develop Just Like You from the Gone Girl soundtrack.
Our brains kind of compliment each other, I’m the one sitting behind the instrument playing the notes, he’s the one interpreting and arranging them in a way that leads to places I would never achieve on my own.
NPR is streaming the Gone Girl soundtrack in full!
Gone Girl OST (digital) has been listed on Amazon, giving us a runtime of 1:26:42, and that it will be released under Columbia records - a departure from previous scores by Trent and Atticus which have previously been by The Null Corporation.
(And, as the price is the same as the one from NIN.com, and NIN.com gives you a better range of download options including lossless, and it gives more money to the artists, I’d say stick with that for the digital-only crowd).
Four-song sampler for the Gone Girl soundtrack.
You can preorder it right now (for real this time) on Vinyl/CD/Digital.
