Fuck Yeah Atticus Ross

Reminder: this blog is NOT run by Atticus.

It’s unlikely the song will be remixed however, as the track isn’t released on a single or NIN album, there would be no point in doing so. I’d also doubt that multitracks will be available, as usually an announcement about that would’ve been made. We can all hope though!

Atticus’ old band with his wife, Claudia Sarne, was touring in support of Marilyn Manson, who was signed to Trent’s Nothing label. This led them to be signed to Nothing Records, although the third 12 Rounds album never got released.

Atticus was brought in for the Tapeworm sessions due to his great skill in programming and producing, and when the Tapeworm artists split over how they felt the band should go, Atticus sided with Trent, and thus a decade-long partnership was formed!

Trent’s first work with Atticus (that I know of) was his work on the Pleasant Smell Maxi-Single, and you can hear that here.

I know of two just for Trent, http://fuckyeahtrentreznor.tumblr.com/ and http://fuckyeah-trentreznor.tumblr.com/ , but neither is updated very often anymore. 

His only solo soundtrack so far is The Book of Eli (which is really rather excellent). He’s never released any other music totally solo, but he had two bands, 12 Rounds and Error, worked on numerous projects varying from P!nk to Sinead O’Connor, Notorious BIG to Barry Adamson. For his full works, I personally recommend checking out Discogs.

I’m afraid this blog isn’t run by Atticus, we’re just a fan-run one. 

So far, neither Atticus nor Trent have commented on why this track was chosen, but as U2’s “No Line On The Horizon” was very NIN-sounding, it’s possible that NIN was approached by U2, rather than vice-versa.
